Support that meets you where you are.

Postpartum is one of the most vulnerable

and least understood seasons of a woman’s life.

Joyful Mama Mental Wellness exists to bring clinically informed, faith-rooted mental health care beyond the counseling room and into the everyday lives of mothers—meeting them where they actually are.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Emma.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia with nearly a decade of experience. My work focuses on perinatal mental health, where I primarily care for pregnant and postpartum women and young couples navigating anxiety, depression, birth trauma, grief, relationship strain, and identity shifts. I also own a counseling practice that offers faith-integrated care for this season of life.

Through both my professional work and my own journey into motherhood, I’ve seen how vulnerable the perinatal season can be. Many women struggle quietly with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or spiritual disorientation—often while appearing “fine” on the outside.

Over time, two things became clear to me: many women delay or avoid seeking support during pregnancy and postpartum—not because they don’t value therapy, but because they’re hoping things will improve on their own, feeling guilty for investing in themselves, or simply too overwhelmed to take the next step. And even when mothers are in therapy, many still need support between sessions—care that meets them in the middle of daily life with a baby.

That gap is where Joyful Mama Mental Wellness was born.

JMMW exists to bring clinically informed, faith-rooted mental health care beyond the counseling room and into the everyday lives of mothers—meeting them where they actually are. Through education, tools, and guided support, JMMW offers care that is built for the postpartum pace of life.

If you’re in the postpartum season and looking for care that meets you where you are, Known Motherhood is one way to experience the work of JMMW in real time.

It’s a therapist-led, faith-rooted support group created for postpartum mothers who want a place to process the emotional realities of this season alongside other women who share their struggles and their faith .
